Swiss Motel - Riverhead

a) Bathroom shower pressure, dated furniture, inconsistent Wi-Fi

The staff were helpful and friendly, they told us about an oceanarium and restaurants which were located near the hotel.

Beds were uncomfortable in this place.

The location was good in Long Island.

The kitchenette in our room was super handy for making snacks and drinks. The grounds were nice, offering some peaceful outdoor areas to unwind after our adventures.

One of my friends had a less than pleasant experience when they found the bathroom not properly cleaned. It wasn't ideal.

Old cobbled together pieces...floors dirty with old linoleum missing pieces, toilet right up against wall, no soap dish, no wash clothes, no cups, no iron, no blankets, walls filled with dripping who knows what, dirty doors, no tissues, no hangers..it was like a crack addict motel.

I thought the price was great and the room was nice and clean. I was stuck on long island during hurricane sandy and I'm glad they had availability. Very nice experience!

Could have used more wash cloths & towels. I did see a mouse:(

Finding accommodation was challenging, but the unexpected view of the pond with benches added a pleasant touch to the stay. Unfortunately, we encountered a significant cleanliness issue, especially with stained surfaces and an unpleasant bathroom. The thin walls made disturbances from outside quite bothersome, impacting our comfort during the night. While the location was convenient, it came with substantial drawbacks that overshadowed the positive aspects.

Absolutely nothing!!!! Omg, I was afraid that I would wake up in the middle of the night with a roach in my hair or mouth. There are NO PHONES in the room. My first thought when we pulled up was that it may be a welfare motel.

Stayed in this property for 2 nights and greatly enjoyed our choice. By and large, it was right place for sightseeing in Riverhead, had much fun. We were in a comfy and excellent location near to the center, everything-stores, food, aquarium, water park, major roads, and that Swiss Motel. Furthermore, in Long Island. The idea to include a microwave, coffee/tea making equipment, and a refrigerator in the double room was nice. The cost was US$ 93.

Do recommend for a weekend pause

This place was ok,nothing more..it needs very little to be much better, but the little bits make a big difference and im not sure the staff are aware of its short comings.

The staff were attentive and friendly. The grounds featured a quaint garden area that added charm to our stay. This was a budget option that didn't compromise on cleanliness.

wi-fi connectivity was inconsistent 🤷‍♂️.

We were charged $150.00 per night, There were no drinking cups in rm.,no hangers, no shampoo.The furniture was hand me downs, soiled and taped together. The clientell were unsavory. One man and girlfriend rented room for 5 hrs.for $71.00.(This happened when I checked in). It did not seem too safe, for the clients were mostly workmen. Not a family hotel. Never again will I make reservations on line.

Loud at night. No coffeemaker. No playground.
